Angela Carter

Co-Owner/Director & Faculty

Angela Carter is an award-winning choreographer, highly sought out international master teacher, and creative entrepreneur. She is a multi-passionate individual with experience in both business and the arts.

She is Co-Owner and Director of Tap Into the Network. Now in their 17th touring season, TITN provides exclusive training experiences and focuses on providing opportunities, career guidance, and mentorship for young artists. One of the highlights of Angela’s year is producing, directing, and choreographing for their annual intensive event and show Tonality which attracts dancers from across the country.


Her industry credits range from television and film to stage. Disney’s Princess and the Frog, Mary J. Blige, Sensa, and Jerry Lewis to name a few. She’s performed with TapsoundsUnderground, the Syncopated Ladies, and many other companies across many stages.


Angela is well connected in the industry and has taught for many conventions including Tremaine, Dupree, Hollywood Vibe, Industry Xperience, Commercial Dance Intensive, Dance Masters of America, Dance Olympus, and so on. She’s presented classes at Rhee Gold’s Dance Life Teacher Conference and Soul Dancer Conference. She also works on projects with Francisco Gella Dance Works.


Angela is the author and creator of The Genius Guide to College Dance Programs, a publication designed specifically to assist and coach students and parents through the college journey. The guide is sold on Amazon! She also teaches at various colleges as guest faculty and was featured on the Making an Impact podcast.


Founder of The Black Angel Foundation, Angela is building a community that celebrates culture, diversity, and movement. Her intensive event, Breakthrough, offers students a unique experience including professional training, mentorship, and access to the industry.
